１． 外国籍の子どものための無料の日本語教室（こぎつね教室）
Free Japanese class for children of foreign nationality (Kogitsune Kyoshitsu)

Toyokawa city holds free Japanese class (Prio 5F, Kogitsune Kyoshitsu) for children of foreign nationals who do not have sufficient Japanese knowledge and
are not enrolled or unable to attend public elementary and junior high schools.
The class consists of groups in small number based on student’s level, and children can learn Japanese necessary for daily life and learning at school, and they learn to know rules for school life. Online lesson is also available depending on the cases, so please feel free to consult. Fees of lesson and textbook are free (940 yen is required annually for insurance.). Children who are going to be enrolled in public elementary and junior high school are eligible, and admission is determined with an interview.
For the guardian whose child is not currently attending any school, please consult International and Civic Activity Division (Shimin Kyodo Kokusai Ka) (Tel: 0533-89-2158). In case of child who is already attending public school, consult first the child’s school.

2. 資源ごみ分別アプリ「さんあ〜る」のご利用を
Please use “さんあ〜る (3R)”, Garbage Separation App.

In order to reduce garbage and promote appropriate garbage separation, Toyokawa city distributes app called “さんあ〜る” (San Aru) (3R).
If you set up the area where you live, you will be informed about the cancellation of garbage collection caused by bad weather like storm etc. In addition, the calendar for the collection of recyclables and garbage, notification of garbage disposal day, searching information on garbage separation etc. are available. The system is available in foreign languages as well (Portuguese, English, Chinese, and Vietnamese). Person who has smartphone or tablet is encouraged to use the app.

3．児童手当を支払います
Child Allowance, Jido Teate, will be paid

The payment of Child Allowance in June will be transferred to the designated bank account on June 6 (Fri.). The payment of this month is for April to May. The notification will not be sent individually. Please check it with your bankbook etc.

6．日本語スピーチコンテスト出場者
Participants in Japanese Speech Contest are recruited

Participants are recruited for Japanese Speech Contest held on October 26 (Sun.) at Kinro Fukushi Kaikan.

Eligibility:
Person who lives in Toyokawa of mother tongue other than Japanese and is in elementary school age and older
Application:
Please bring directly or send by postal mail the application form with speech script to Toyokawa International Association by September 19 (Fri.) (Must arrive by this date.) Educational counseling for preschool child with developmental problems

For children entering elementary school in April 2026 who have or might have developmental problems and the guardians, Toyokawa city provides educational counseling. The counselor has experience in school education. If you have any concerns, please make use of the counseling service.

8. 成人歯科健診
Dental checkup for adult

Period:
Until February 28 (Sat.) 2026
Eligibility:
Person who became 20, 25, 30, 35, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, and 70 years
old in the fiscal year 2024, and person who becomes 40 years old in the fiscal
year 2025.
Content:
Oral cavity examination, simple checkup for periodontal disease, guidance for maintaining dental health, panoramic X-ray photography (For person aged 20 and 30 only)
Things to bring:
Dental checkup ticket, health insurance certification
Application:
Dental checkup tickets are mailed to eligible persons. Those who wish to take dental checkup are asked to make a reservation directly to the dental clinics which are written on the information leaflet enclosed with dental checkup ticket.

9. 不妊治療（生殖補助医療）費の一部助成
Subsidy for partial expense of infertility treatments (assisted reproductive technology)

Application deadline:
Last day of the 6th month from the month in which the pregnancy was confirmed
Eligibility:
Couple (Including common-law marriage) who meets all the followings
1) The treatments started on and after April 1, 2023.
2) Received assisted reproductive technology (Treatments up to embryo transfer) for the first time.
3) One of the couple members or both of them are with Basic Resident Register of Toyokawa city at the time of application.
4) Wife’s age at the beginning of the treatments was under 43 years old.
5) The couple is joining public health insurance.
Sum of the subsidy:
Self-borne expense of the first assisted reproductive technology (The sum after deduction of subsidy for high medical cost etc.) (150,000 yen as ceiling amount)

10．コミュニティバス回数券を交付
Campaign of issuing book of tickets (Kaisu Ken) for Community Bus for the elderly

Book of tickets (Kaisu Ken) for Toyotetsu Bus and Toyokawa City Community Bus are issued for free to support senior citizen's going out.

Eligibility:
Person aged 70 and older who lives in Toyokawa with resident tax exemption
Number of tickets:
100-yen ticket×20 per person annually (Ticket issuance ends when prepared tickets are finished.)
Application:
From July 1 (Tue.), please come with your ID to Elder Care and Nursing Division (Main Bldg. 1F), respective branch offices, or Prio Service Center. Application form is available at respective issuance windows (It can be downloaded from the website.).

11. 帯状疱疹ワクチンの接種費用助成
Subsidy for expense of vaccination for shingles

Eligibility:
Person who meets all the followings
1) Aged 50 or older with Basic Resident Register of Toyokawa city at the point of vaccination day
2) Taking vaccination by using this system for the first time (Excluding person eligible for the periodical vaccination for shingles in the fiscal year 2025)
Sum of the subsidy:
For 2-time vaccine (Shingrix), 10,000 yen per vaccination, for 1-time vaccine (BIKEN), 3,000 yen. Subsidy for the expense is available only once in a lifetime with either one of afore-mentioned vaccines.
How to take vaccination:
Contact directly the commissioned medical institutions in Toyokawa city and make a reservation.
Others:
If you take vaccination at commissioned medical institution in Toyokawa city, pay the sum (Vaccination fee from which the sum of subsidy is deducted) to the medical institution. In case taking vaccination at medical institution in another municipality, contact Health Center.

12. 保険料の納付は口座振替のご利用を
For the payment of insurance premium, please use account transfer system

When you pay premium of National Health Insurance or the Late-Stage Medical Care Insurance for the Elderly, payment by account transfer system is convenient. If you make payment by cash currently and are willing to pay by account transfer, please bring the notification of insurance premium payment, bankbook, and Inkan registered for the bankbook to respective financial institution in Toyokawa city.

13. 検診車によるがん検診（夏検診）
Cancer screening by medical screening car (Summer Term)

Date/Venue:

Name of screening/Eligible age:
・Tuberculosis/Lung cancer=Person aged 16 or older
・Stomach cancer (Barium)=Person aged 44 or older (Even number age)
・Colorectal cancer=Person aged 40 or older
・Breast cancer (Mammography)=Female person aged 40 or older (Even number age)
・Cervical cancer=Female person aged 20 or older (Even number age)
・Prostate cancer=Male person aged 50-70 (Even number age)
・Osteoporosis=Person aged 30 or older
Eligibility:
Person who is in the eligible age for respective screening as of April 1, 2026 (Except person who has screening opportunity at work etc.)
Application:
From June 30 (Mon.), accepted on city website (First come, first served.). From July 3 (Thu.) accepted by phone, too (Tel: 0533-95-0075).
Others:
Person who applied will be informed of the details with postal mail. Person with free coupon for breast cancer/cervical cancer screening (Sent in June) can take screening even if the person is not in the eligible age. Screening in the afternoon is only for women.
※Childcare service is available (Child aged 1 year-preschool child) (First 8 persons). If you wish to have the service, apply for it together with the screening by 1 week prior to the desired day.
